Getting Started - Registration

 

 

Below you will find the details to help you register your business with Boardera’s platform.

It is easy, and when you are done, you will have an B2B ready e-Commerce solution for PCBs and assemblies.


Step 1: Register

If you haven't already, register for the Boardera platform to get your store created and start using it immediately. The easy wizard will walk you through the steps required as listed below:

Step 2: Company Info and Contacts

Once logged into the Boardera platform, select Company Info in the configuration menu.

Fill out the Company Information page seen in the screenshot below. Make sure that the correct people/groups are receiving the proper notifications.

Company Type

Be sure to select the correct company type

  • PCB Fabricator - You manufacture the PCB itself, sometimes called the ‘bare board’

  • EMS Supplier - You place the components on the PCB

  • Both - You both manufacture the PCB and place the components in the same facility (or close by)

If you offer both services but from different locations you should create a Boardera platform instance for each location.

Step 3: Branding

After completing the Company Info page, click the “Next” button in the top right corner of the page. This will bring you to your Branding page. You can also select Branding in the configuration menu.

First, upload your company logo. We can accept most image file types, and we will automatically resize the logo to fit.

Next, complete the information seen in the screenshot below. Customize your Boardera platform by choosing a primary colour that best represents your company’s branding.

Step 4: Capabilities

After completing the Branding page, click the “Next” button in the top right corner of the page. This will bring you to your Capabilities page. You can also select Capabilities in the configuration menu.

Select your working days, add holidays, and indicate what your company can do in the fields shown below. If you’re not sure what something means, hover over the tooltip indicator - - for more information. This information is used to calculate project lead times.


Step 5: Pricing

Once you’ve configured your Capabilities, hit the “Next” button to go to your Pricing page. You can also select Pricing in the configurations menu.

On the Pricing page, you can select your preferred currency, adjust your market competitiveness, and set prices for PCB and assembly pricing factors.

At this stage, we suggest using the “Default” values for your pricing configurations (so, keeping the page as-is for now). You can come back to this page at any time, and we recommend setting aside some time to go through the Advanced Pricing options in detail once you’re more familiar with the Boardera platform.
