Pricing Configuration

The following document is an introduction to the Boardera platform’s Pricing Configuration page.

Your goal is use the pricing configurations to set your target pricing so your customers can help themselves to quotes or process their own orders where they are specifying their requirements in full.

Don’t worry, you can trigger an RFQ for manual review if the job is too large or complex for automation.

You can adjust your pricing configurations with as much fine-tuning and detail as you want. The pricing configurations will be used to calculate estimates for your customers. You can also decide to use “Default” pricing for bare board and/or assembly pricing.

At this stage, don’t seek perfection. Simply familiarize yourself with the Pricing Configuration page, make some adjustments, and see how those adjustments affect the price. We will come back with a specific detailed pricing exercise to fine-tune it and ready it for “go live”.

General Pricing Configurations

Preferred Currency

Start by choosing which currency you’d prefer to use when costing customers and getting paid.

Market Adjustment

The Market Adjustment slider adjusts competitiveness in your regional market. You can choose to be more profit-focused, or more aggressive in your pricing. The market adjustment percentage is applied to the overall pricing, which includes the bare board and assembly labour if it applies.

Note: We suggest leaving this at 0% if you know your pricing. Or, set to your target margin % if you are aware of exact costing figures. Most will use 0% and focus on tuning pricing to match good quotes in the past which you have won.
