Getting your Sales Team Engaged

 

Here are some steps and additional information to get your sales team excited to use the Boardera platform.


Initially, the sales team may see the online ordering tool as competition to their day-to-day sales activity. They may be concerned that they will not receive proper credit for orders placed online. You will want to encourage them to promote and use the new tool with their customers.

Steps for your sales team

  • Get them to sign up on your new Boardera platform by adding them as a team member.

  • Review how to load a project on behalf of a customer article.

  • How to use the Quotes Page to respond to new quote requests.

  • If the team gets an emailed request for pricing, respond with an email template as a strong call to action to ask the customer to upload their own project to your new Boardera platform.

  • Send one of the great email templates to all of your contacts and customers.

How quotes and orders are tracked

All of your registered customers are required to enter a company name or list themselves as an individual as part of their profile. Even in the case where your internal team members load projects for a new customer the company name/ individual is required. All quotes and orders are then associated with the company name (if applicable). When your customer places an order on the Boardera platform the order is emailed to your team so that your team can follow your existing workflow to enter the order. Because of this process, the orders will be tracked and credited to the correct salesperson as they are today.
