Order Status Management

It’s the responsibility of the manufacturer to keep the Order Status up to date. When the order status is updated, your customer will receive an email notification. So, keeping this information up to date is the easiest way to keep your customer informed of the status of their order.

Any time the status of an order changes, go to your Orders page and select the status drop-down menu in the top left corner of the order in question:

You are responsible for status updates for the following statuses: Sourcing, Production, Shipped, Delivered, On Hold, and Cancelled.

The Payment Pending option appears automatically if a customer’s credit card is not processed. Once a valid credit card payment is made, the status will automatically update to Ordered.

Email Addresses on Customer Information Page

the Boardera platform relies on email notifications to let you know when orders have been placed, quotes have been requested, and various other events happen in the system. It’s important to make sure that the email addresses on your Customer Information page are always accurate and current, otherwise, you could miss important notifications.

You can add up to 5 different email addresses for each type of email:

Message Reminder Settings

Communication between you and your customer will happen in the Messages tool in the Boardera platform. You can choose how often you get an email notification for new messages. To change your message notifications, go to your Profile page. You’ll see these options:

Be sure to select the message reminder preference that works best for your workflow. Note that selecting an option with fewer reminders could mean that you miss important communications from your customer.

Regular Login

We recommend logging into the Boardera platform at least once a day to look at your Quotes, Orders, and Messages. The system will automatically send email notifications for important updates- like a new quote or order. But it can’t send emails for everything, and we all know that emails can easily get missed. It’s best to get into the habit of checking on Quote and Order statuses on a regular basis without relying on email.
